In 2018 we participated in children’s and youth’s literature and culture event LANKKU with one group of Basic education in the Arts. We were part of Red Queen’s drama adventure, which based on the book Alice in Wonderland. Our dance was flowers’ dance ”The golden afternoon”.

Pelastakaa ballerinat ry is a dance association built up to develop easy accessibility of dance for adults and elderly. It is based on value that dancing belongs to everybody and everybody should be able to enjoy movement of one’s own body and experiencing body’s possibilities. With this association I bend the limits how dance is seen on stage and where performance can happen. I work on interface of different art forms. I teach ballet to adults and creative movement and movement improvisation to elderly. We have produced three performing art productions in 2016-2018, where I have been artistic director, choreographer and dancer.

I have worked with disabled people doing drama, movement and improvisation. We have handled themes like self-determination and equality through artwork because there is lot of problems in our society, considering rights of disabled people.

In Studio Move dance school I have taught children, youth and adults and I have participated in ten christmas and spring shows with several groups and performances and I have also been dancing myself. The basic values for me as a teacher is supporting students to find joy in movement and built an allowing and compassionate relationship to dancing and to own body.
